Study Reveals Overall Satisfaction Improves with Price Satisfaction Declines
This year’s survey, shows customer satisfaction at a historically high level of 819 on a 1000-point scale. Despite the high overall satisfaction rating, price satisfaction ratings have declined for a second year in a row.
The size of the increase in premium has a direct correlation with overall satisfaction scores. For example, a consumer who has a price increase of $200 or more has an overall satisfaction score of 538 (a 188-point decline from the average).
Insurance Company Satisfaction Ratings
The study also measures customer satisfaction with the individual insurance companies by region. The study examines customer satisfaction using five factors;

Insurance is Still a Service Business
Shopping for the cheapest auto insurance, or the best auto insurance, is still a consumer-oriented service business. Consumers are looking for car insurance companies which provide an easy, hassle-free shopping experience and the best value for their money.
Researching and purchasing auto insurance is not something many consumers look forward to but is a fact of life. Whether consumers are shopping online or using a local insurance agent they are all expecting a level of customer service which makes the job easier. Annual surveys such as the J.D. Power survey can help to make the search a little easier.
